Mycology May Film Screening- Follow the Rain (Lithgow)
You’re invited to a special screening of Follow the Rain by acclaimed film producers Stephen Axford and Catherine Marciniak.
A visual treat taking viewers into the magical world of fungi through incredible photography and interviews.
The movie will be followed by a Q&A session with local mycologists and light refreshments.

Pottery & Fungi Foray
Mycology May is a great time to get out mushroom hunting and the Central Tablelands is a fantastic place for fungi lovers. There's a diverse array of species to be found in our Box Gum Grassy Woodlands and we look forward to welcoming both new and returning fungi hunters along for a fun and playful day.
Join us for a two-part adventure into the fascinating world of fungi!
In the morning we'll lead you on an immersive fungi foray amongst the trees of the box gum grassy woodlands around Cowra/ Conimbla. After our walk we'll head to Raintree Marra for a light lunch followed by an afternoon crafting mycologically-inspired pottery! Create a fungi themed pinch pot, platter or figurine while enjoying the company of your fellow mycophiles. Your pottery will be fired and glazed after the event.

Mycology May Natural Dye Workshop
Mycology May is here, and this year, we're getting creative with natural dyeing with Mushrooms.
Join local artist and fungi enthusiast Leanne Wicks for a hands-on workshop exploring the natural colours hidden in mushrooms & leaves. In this earthy, creative session, you'll learn how to use collected fungi to dye silk and discover mushrooms' incredible role in healthy ecosystems.

After the success of previous years’ plant ID walks in the Capertee Valley, LLS and Capertee Valley Landcare are hosting another event on 11 May to explore a different part of the valley.

Join us at February’s Green Drinks for a presentation by Andrew Wooldridge and Allan Nicholson! Both work with the NSW Department of Climate Change, Energy, the Environment and Water. They’ll be sharing their extensive hydrogeological mapping of Bathurst’s rural and urban areas, offering insights into the region's diverse geology, soils, landscapes, and salinity processes. This is a must-attend event for anyone involved in soil management across the Bathurst Regional Council area.
