Strategic Plan

What is a Strategic Plan?

At the heart of every successful Landcare group is a roadmap to success—a strategic plan. This vital process is all about dreaming big and setting the course to make those dreams a reality. It's where our community comes together to envision the future of their area, plotting a path of growth, innovation, and achievement.

Our Vision Statement

Let's explain what we mean by "Vision Statement." A vision statement describes the future we aim to create - it's our end goal. Our vision is that we are and will be, "Independent. Reliable. Advocating for a sustainable future."

Our Mission Statement

A mission statement is a clear, concise declaration of our purpose. It describes what we do, how we do it, why we do it, and who we do it for. Our mission is: “Empowering our Local Landcare Networks, coordinators and volunteers to support, communicate, educate, and nurture sustainability across our environment, encompassing both urban, natural, and agricultural landscapes.”

Our Values
Values are what we stand for and believe in. They guide how we behave and make decisions. Our values include local-level action, environmental stewardship, collaboration, future focus, knowledge, reliability, inclusion, innovation and success.

Regional Priorities
Regional priorities are high-level issues we are committed to focusing on. They are not specific projects but areas we believe are important for our community. Our priorities are:

Be Landcare’s Voice in Central Tablelands: Represent and advocate for our members' interests and needs in the region.

Secure and Manage Regional Funding: Obtain and distribute regional funding fairly to expand Landcare activities and projects in Central Tablelands.

Enhance Communications: Promote our regional communications to support Local Landcare coordinators and their communities.

Legacy and Succession: Maintain Landcare’s enduring presence in the region and plan for future leadership to continue our mission effectively.

Lead Regional Projects: Develop and support impactful Landcare initiatives to benefit the environment, local networks and community.

This initiative is made possible by the NSW Landcare Enabling
Program. A collaboration of Local Land Services and Landcare
NSW, supported by the NSW Government.
