This practical paddock walk is an opportunity to visit an established project site and hear directly from Renovo Ag about what is involved in getting a project underway.
Simon Campbell and Grant Tranter from Renovo Ag will provide an overview of:
Environmental markets and Environmental Planting projects
Carbon sequestration potential within the Bell River catchment
The process involved in setting up an EP project
The potential benefits and risks for land managers
Financial modelling and projected returns
How environmental planting compares with "normal farm business" earning potential on a per-hectare basis
What the opportunity could look like on your own property
The aim is to give local land managers a clearer understanding of the pros and cons of Environmental Planting projects and the information needed to decide whether participation makes sense for their farm business.

This project has the potential to support five land managers within the catchment to register their own Environmental Planting project.
Little River Landcare will provide ongoing project support to help participating land managers work through the process and achieve successful outcomes.
