Environmental Planting Paddock Walk – Dog Rocks
What is the carbon opportunity for Campbells River land managers – do the numbers stack up?
Join Little River Landcare and Renovo Ag for an Environmental Planting project site visit at Dog Rocks, exploring the opportunities, risks and financial considerations of environmental planting and carbon projects for local land managers.
Date: Tuesday 6 October 2026
Time: 9:30 am – 12:30 pm
Location: 1325 Swallows Nest Road, Dog Rocks NSW 2795
Catering: Morning tea and lunch provided
About the day
Simon Campbell and Grant Tranter from Renovo Ag will provide an overview of environmental markets and explore the carbon sequestration potential within the Campbells River catchment.
The session will cover:
Environmental markets and how they may apply to local properties
Carbon sequestration opportunities through environmental planting
Risks and considerations involved in establishing a carbon project
Financial modelling and projected returns
Comparing the earning potential of environmental planting with "normal farm business" on a per-hectare basis
Property mapping for potential carbon yield, available on the day
This is a practical opportunity for land managers to better understand whether an Environmental Planting (EP) project could work on their property and to ask questions directly of the team from Renovo Ag.
Opportunity for land managers in 2027
Little River Landcare and Renovo Ag are also seeking 10 land managers to participate in a three-day training program in 2027, delivered as one day per week over three weeks.
The program will take participants through the detail of what's involved in establishing an Environmental Planting project on their farm.
Importantly, there is an opportunity for five Environmental Planting projects to be registered and funded through the program.
