  • 870 Ophir Road Summer Hill Creek, NSW, 2800 Australia (map)

Planting for Platypus – Biodiversity Month 🌱

Join Summer Hill Creekcare for a special Landcare tree planting event along the creek to improve habitat for platypus and their prey.

Event Details

  • When: Sunday 14th September, 9:30am – 12:00 noon
Followed by a picnic lunch (provided).

  • Where: 870 Ophir Road, Summer Hill Creek, NSW 2800

How to Register

Please register by Thursday 12th September (COB) by emailing ckinross@csu.edu.au or calling 6365 7651.
When registering, let us know if you’re staying for lunch and if you have any dietary requirements. Lunch will be a simple picnic with salad rolls, slices, and refreshments.

What to Bring

  • Hat, sunscreen, and water

  • Gloves and boots (gumboots if possible)

  • Long sleeves and pants (highly recommended)

Important Notes

  • We will need to cross the creek. If you have a 4WD, that will be handy. Otherwise, we’ll arrange shuttles and/or walking access – hence the need for gumboots!

Come along, get your hands dirty, and help create a better future for our local platypus population.
