Low Carbon Landscapes: Restoration Economics

Free Information Evening & Dinner

15 May | 5:30pm – 8:30pm
At Cumnock Bowling Club

Join Little River Landcare for a free information evening to learn about the Low Carbon Landscapes: Restoration Economics Project and explore opportunities for your property.

Little River Landcare has secured $957,000 through the NSW Department of Climate Change, Energy, the Environment and Water Low Carbon Landscapes Grant to deliver this project across the Central Tablelands from 2026 to 2028.

Delivered in partnership with Renovo Ag, the project supports small-scale environmental plantings (approximately 20 hectares) that can generate both environmental and economic benefits.

Potential Benefits Include:

  • Carbon income opportunities

  • Windbreaks and shelterbelts

  • Riparian restoration

  • Erosion control

  • Biodiversity corridors

  • Salinity management

This project is designed to help producers diversify farm income through carbon abatement while improving landscape function. Suitable sites will be identified where environmental plantings can provide competitive returns compared with existing agricultural land uses.

Using detailed financial modelling and benchmarking, landholders will be able to compare potential returns and make informed decisions based on real data.

Free Property Carbon Potential Report

Interested in understanding the carbon potential of your property and comparing it with your current farm enterprise? Attendees can request a personalised property carbon potential report on the night.
