Join Mid Lachlan Landcare for a hands-on field day with Alison Pouliot exploring the important role fungi play in healthy soils, productive farms and resilient landscapes.

This practical session will look at how fungi function in farming systems and why they are essential to soil health, pasture productivity and whole-farm resilience.

What We’ll Cover

  • Why fungi matter in soils and farming systems

  • How to encourage beneficial fungi on your property

  • Understanding fungal succession and what it means for your soils

  • Looking beyond single issues to the bigger picture of soil and farm health

  • The role of both visible mushrooms and soil-based microfungi

In the Field

Participants will enjoy hands-on exploration of local fungi in paddocks and bushland, with plenty of opportunity for discussion, questions and observations throughout the day.
