Join us for a highly interactive introductory workshop exploring the fascinating world of fungi, led by renowned environmental photographer, author and fungi educator Alison Pouliot.

Participants will have the opportunity to experience a range of fungi from the local region while learning about their ecology, life histories, and cultural significance.

This engaging session will also explore the important role fungi play in land restoration and conservation.

Although often overlooked, the roots of almost every plant in the Australian landscape are intimately connected with fungi. These hidden partnerships extend beyond trees to include every orchid and most shrubs and grasses. These powerful symbiotic relationships are one of nature’s secrets to thriving in Australia’s highly variable climate and nutrient-deficient soils.
