Working Bee at Garrallan
Join Mid Lachlan Landcare for a hands-on Working Bee at Garrallan, helping to plant native trees, shrubs and understory species to improve habitat for the Superb Parrot.
Held across two morning sessions, this volunteer planting event will support habitat restoration on Garrallan, a 690-hectare property on the Gilari (Lachlan River). The property includes 80 hectares under Biodiversity Conservation Trust protection, covering all river frontage and providing an important opportunity to strengthen biodiversity and riparian health in the landscape.
Marion, the farm operator, is seeking volunteers to help plant around 500 native tubestock for the 2026 season, including plants supplied by Greening Australia and Weddin Community Native Nursery.
This is a fantastic chance to get involved in practical on-ground conservation, support local habitat restoration, and spend time with others who care about healthy landscapes and thriving wildlife.
