Native Seed Collection Workshop Series – Capertee Valley (Session 4)

Be part of this practical, hands-on workshop series bringing the community together to help restore habitat across the Greater Blue Mountains region.

Hosted by Central Tablelands Local Land Services in partnership with the Lithgow & District Community Nursery, these field-based workshops provide the opportunity to learn valuable skills while contributing to local biodiversity and revegetation projects.

During the workshop, participants will learn how to identify native plant species and collect seed using best-practice techniques across a range of vegetation types. The seed collected will be propagated by the nursery and used in local revegetation projects, including plantings that support the threatened Regent Honeyeater.

What you’ll learn

• How to identify local native plant species and understand their role in the landscape
• Best-practice techniques for collecting native seed in the field
