Lithgow Frog Monitoring evening

  • Saywell Street Lithgow, NSW, 2790 Australia (map)

Farmers Creek is home to at least 6 different frog species - including the common Eastern Froglet, Peron's Tree Frog, Striped Marsh Frogs, Banjo Frogs and the Blue Mountains Tree Frog.

These lovely amphibians are indicators of environmental health and are an important part of local biodiversity being both predators, for crickets and other insects, and prey, for birds and snakes.

Come along to our frog monitoring evening next Tuesday, 26 March, to learn how to use Frog ID to monitor the health of species that live along Farmers Creek.

What to bring:

  • Walking shoes or boots

  • Warm clothing (beanie, jacket, gloves, raincoat)

  • Torch

  • Bring your own thermos and snacks
